For this weeks spotlight artist, drumroll please…. we introduce to you the Pomegranates! Here they are perfroming their new single Thigh High (Not Available Yet). The Pomegranates sound is described as shimmering and dreamy with influences that range from the Talking Heads and Brian Eno, to French Kicks and Fela Kuti. Metrogum was recently invited to see the Cincinnati denizens at the indie music hangout, Spaceland here in Los Angeles. There the Pomegranates played additional songs off their new album Everybody Come Outside. The Album is conceptional, weaving a tale of a man who leaves home, only to be abducted by a time traveler. If we could hop in our Delorean, and turn on the flux capacitor only so we could have told more people to come out and see this band live we would! But, until we can track down the Doc, you’ll have to keep checking out our exclusive footage from their performance all this week or wait and see when The Pomegranates come to your town!
